Scrapbooking is my favorite hobby along with photography. I receive such a joy from taking a picture that I will always treasure and adding it to a page that will tell a story. It's like your setting a stage and your picture is the star of the show. When your scrapbooking it's like how will I set the stage? How well will the colors go together (the lighting)? Will I dress my page up with the right accessories (the costars)? Will I relay the story (the script) to the readers (the audience)? Even though a lot of thought goes into scrapbooking because you know that generations from now family members, friend, and sometimes even strangers will get a glimpse of your life. You want each page in your scrapbook to be perfect (the practice), and sometimes you mess up. Once you finish and get a first look at all of your hard work that you spent hours on, it's time to let everyone see what you've been working on (it's showtime). At the end of it all it doesn't matter if there's a smudge here or a smudge there. Everything always ends up perfect because it's your story and no one can tell it or show it quite like you! Take a bow because you get the credit (the ovation) you truly deserve. I love scrapbooking because you get to express yourself in so many ways and not only do you benefit from it but so does your family and friends. Believe me when I say they will be forever grateful to you for preserving and making history so beautiful.
